The Stadhuis (City Hall) originally served as the concierge’s lodge to the Manor House. The Albert room in the Stadhuis was used as the headquarters of King Albert I during WWI.
The Landshuis was Veurne-Ambacht’s administrative headquarters (Castellany), but it became a courthouse after the French Revolution and the abolishment of the Castellany.
The ground floor of the City Hall is currently closed for renovation works. Admire it again in spring 2024! The first floor of the City Hall and the Landshuis, is not currently open for visits.
